Job Description:
Provides hardware and diagnostic support for computer systems;
Carries out advanced assignments requiring the development of new improved techniques
and procedures related to computer hardware.
Provides support for hardware systems.
Develops effective problem resolution procedures related to hardware.
Installs, configures, and maintains computer and peripheral hardware, as appropriate
Works with computer hardware vendors to maintain under warranty hardware.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM-JOB REQUIREMENTS:
. Diploma or degree certifying basic knowledge of computer, Bachelor's degree in
Computer Engineering or related area is preferable.
. At least 4 years of experience, preferably in an academic / university IT environment, that
is directly related to the duties and responsibilities.
. Knowledge of current technological developments / trends in area of expertise,
. Advanced knowledge and understanding of a range of computer hardware systems and
related technologies.
. Ability to install, configure, and maintain personal computers and related hardware
. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
