
It was April 1917 when the Champaran Movement was born out of the gross injustice done to the farmers under the then British Raj.
100 years later, farmers are still dealing with the same level of injustice (if not more), only this time under our own government.
The Champaran movement seems very relevant now for it managed to connect urban issues with rural issues and brought Indians together on one platform. This is exactly what is needed today - for everyone to come together and stand up for our farmers.
